Amy & Jason Engagement

Soon, I'll post some photos from Amy and Jason's fabulous wedding, but first I couldn't resist doing a flashback post of some of their engagement pictures...

Amy & Jason have been dear friends for some time, and I was so excited for their engagement session. Mike and I met them at Bible study (which is also where they met one another over an intense and oh-so-hip game of Boggle ;)). I still remember the night Amy shared a special (and secret) prayer request regarding a new relationship God was fostering with an absolutely amazing guy. I couldn't help it. I'm a sap. My eyes got so teary as Amy shared in a hushed voice barely loud enough to compete with the sizzling carbonation in our coca-colas. (Inside, I wanted to blurt out..."OK, spill it. WHO is it?!" Thankfully, the spirit prevailed. :)) I was thrilled (quietly thrilled, as it were, since they were keeping it on the down low for the time being) to learn the amazing guy was Jason! Months later, when another friend in our Bible study, wide-eyed, saw Jason affectionately squeeze Amy's hand at a group dinner in a way that said 'we're more than pals'...I was stoked (nay, relieved ;)) to be able to share the joy when their relationship went public!!

And, you can just imagine the joy that filled the room on their wedding day! (That joy was accompanied by some Aggie yell dealy at the reception too...what is that?) ;) Love y'all!

Heidii & Chris

Their love story is one that would give even the best romantic comedies a run for their money. (Which would only be fitting because I've never seen anyone who loves to hear good stories more than sweet Heidii!)

Their relationship began in college under the auspices of a sorority formal and the requisite phone call by Heidii that we girls all seem to dread. After the initial pleasantries were exchanged on that phone call, Heidii summoned up the courage to ask Chris if he'd like to be her date to her fabulous sorority affair. Annnnd then she waited patiently for any sort of response....anything?....even a no?....hello? The phone had died. (Though Heidii didn't know that's why Chris was no longer responsive. For all she knew (she says for comedic purposes today), he was laughing at her and hung up. [Oh Heidii!] Chris didn't even have her number to immediately return the call.) Meanwhile, Chris--who was very interested in Heidii--was scrambling for a way to find someone who knew her number so he could get back with her and robustly accept her invitation. It definitely all worked together for good, and now they have a(nother) fun story for their grandkids.

The spark that they felt even on that first date was apparent and still is all these years later. That spark alights and they absolutely glow when they are together. In fact, I noticed throughout the shoot that the smile Chris is known for grew distinctly wider each time Heidii snuggled in closely.

Congratulations Bugbees to be! I cannot wait until your big day!
