There are so many things about shooting family portraits that make me smile. A few of those things would be the goofy noises, faces, and shooting positions Mike and I throw out there to get a laugh out of the kiddos. Sweet little Alex was SO smart, and by the end of the session he was making some of my signature 'noises' to make us laugh. Too adorable! We had so much fun documenting this day in the life of such a sweet family.

Jennifer and Doug: Engaged!

The way some things come about makes it clear that all is just as it should be. It's especially fun when it happens in love. Circumstances, decisions, and time align perfectly to bring two awesome people together. If Jennifer hadn't been a good sport and escorted some out-of-town co-workers to the hot spots downtown....If Doug hadn't decided to come into Austin to visit friends...If they hadn't caught one another's eye in the most crowded scene in the live music capital of the world...If Jennifer wasn't so adept at playing air guitar to Guns N Roses.... Yet, all came together, and these two will be married in March! Jennifer and Doug are sooooo, soooo much fun, and we can't wait for their wedding that I know will be filled to the fullest with personality!
