Tom and Laura are an obvious soul match! In fact, it was obvious to everyone in their shared circle of friends how perfect they would be for one another. Unfortunately, since it was so obvious, no one thought to share this insight with these two early on! ("We thought they knew!") :) In perfect timing, though, a light flickered on in the most insightful parts of their hearts. It certainly didn't take long for them to discover that this match should be one that lasts a lifetime! They have a shared desire to minister to others, and I can't wait to see what blessings they bring to people through their marriage.
Congratulations, Tom and Laura! We can't wait until your big day! (We'll pray for that cold front with you!) :)
Laura's recently acquired engagement ring sparkles almost as brightly as her smile when Tom hugs her tightly.

Love the feel of the next two images courtesy of Mike!
Mike's view through the trees!
Mike's cute meter was definitely registering high during this shoot. I couldn't help but turn the camera on him a few times when he wasn't looking. Hubba Hubba boy in a tree with a camera....could anything be more attractive? :)

R&R in the Rockies!
Colorado will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the place I learned to ski (back in the day when my hair was almost as big as my pre-teen attitude), learned the law in the hallowed halls of University Colorado Law, and met Mikey J, who is, as you may know, my heart's delight. I am always thrilled to point my travel sights westward and head back to the Rocky Mountains since they hosted so many of my life's defining events.
I recall that during one venture to Colorado, I was a bit more nervous than excited. I was moving to Boulder and though excited for the adventure, I knew everything was changing and, at least for awhile, I was going to feel like I was alllllll by myself. Of course, moving and making new friends always takes a little bit of time, but I worried about the possibility that developing new friendships that were as deep and true as the ones I was leaving behind would be too much to expect. I mean, what if I ended up spending hours talking to my crazy cat, Prozac. (Trust me, no one wanted that less than Prozac!) ;) Well, I was blessed beyond what I could have asked or imagined with my sweet friend Lori. Not only could she spend hours discussing topics like governmental policy in Slovenia and five-point Calvinism, but she also knew that the only proper study break involves Ben & Jerry's and a couple of personally choreographed jazz "routines." (We.were.awwwwesome.) ;) Lori's faithful, compassionate friendship has been a constant source of joy and reminder of the great gifts God gives. Not to mention, she gives fabulous driving lessons when cruising the single lane roads in New Zealand. (moment for the bird and the pants).
Recently, my dear friend Lori wed the man who is her heart's delight in a moving and reverent ceremony nestled in the mountains of Vail. Vows were exchanged, tears were shed, and God was blessed by their testimony. I was thrilled to be there. Congratulations Cam and Lori! I can't wait to see how God uses your lives together for His glory.
Look at my beautiful friend!! Is it any wonder why I was always fielding interested suitors for her during law school? Love you, friend!
Ahhhhh, the mountains. How I miss thee!
I LOVE COLORADO!!

Lori and her gorgeous sister, Nancy!
Not only is Lori brilliant, but she is an avid skier. She planned her wedding on the last weekend of the ski season in Vail, so we spontaneously decided to live it up on the slopes on our last day! I'm happy to report that Mix Master Mike is a fabulous skier! Ahhhhh, the mountains. How I miss thee!
I LOVE COLORADO!!
