Shawna's Bridal Portraits

A soft, romantic rain fell during Shawna's dream wedding in the mountains of Breckenridge, Colorado. The dewy glow of the rain made a beautiful affair high in the clouds even more stunning. Unfortunately, that beautiful mist did turn into a bit of a downpour by the end of the festivities which prevented some of the bridal portraits Shawna had planned for the day. We definitely had to remedy that when we got back to Austin! The bluebonnets were in peak bloom and ready to be the perfect "something blue" for Shawna's fabulous bridal ensemble and portrait session.

The ultimate pursuit of a bridal portrait should be to capture images of not only the physical beauty of the bride but also the beauty that defines her spirit. Shawna is so obviously blessed with an abundance of both kinds of beauty...I had such an amazing time spending the day with this super fun bride who (along with a brilliant wedding gown) clothes herself in humility, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, wisdom...(and is also hilarious! [see some of the laughter of the day below]). :)

She was running and running and running...

Also, apparently, I am hilarious on photo shoots... ;)

After a long day of work, we had to find some "nutritional" food to nurture that bridal glow! I think Shawna should submit this to Ronnie McD for endorsements! :)

Thank you, Shawna for such a fun day and for being the true beauty I'm trying to learn to be! :)
