Pix in the City

Austin--whose citizens pride themselves on nurturing the eclectic and those things often labeled by nonresidents as pretty 'weird'--provides so many opportunities for and forms of entertainment one could never complain of boredom here. But I recently realized that a long table hosting 8 ladies with some serious cameras and vision chatting over unlimited salsa and the soupiest of enchiladas can provide an evening full laughs and fun that would rival much of the entertainment found on any of the local visitor's guides. I had the best time chatting it up on SoCo at Guerro's with Stacy Cross, Jennifer Nichols, Traci Dennis and Kellie Finch of Anne Marie Photography, Sarah Quiara of Roxy and Kai Photography, Amy DeYoung, and Alison Portis. Not only do I love building relationships with these ladies who are passionate about photography--as I am, but I also absolutely love viewing the amazing work they create and the vision they employ to capture the moments people cherish for a lifetime. This really is the coolest job ever! :)

I don't know why....it seemed ok at the time. :) You'd never know that most of us just met one another that night.
